Last UFC sanctioned violence of the year! Man is this card fucking awesome, I haven’t been excited for a card like this in so damn long. The 3rd best fight got canceled and this card still fucks. I have been pretty shit at writing my blogs lately due to life happening way more frequently than it used to, but had to hop back on for this one. We got Leon vs Colby for the belt of who fights less often, Pantoja Royval 2, Wonderboy being fed to the wolves, Tony vs Faddy, and Bryce Mitchells short notice return against Skellator. This has to be the card where I make all my money back for the year, I just don’t see any way around it. A year filled with ups and downs and absolutely awful decisions that took money straight out of my future kids’ mouths (will not bring up the awful decisions that put money in their mouths), but this card will be different and we will triumph! Alright let’s get into these picks.

Main Card

Leon Edwards vs. Colby Covington Welterweight Championship Bout

This pick by no means means that I want Colby to win. He is such a goddamn piece of shit it’s actually becoming insane that he is able to keep this up. Making a joke about your opponent’s late father? What a fucking scumbag move. All I keep thinking about is what would happen if I was in Leon’s shoes and it keeps bringing me to the same conclusion. I would be mentally broken. I would be so filled with anger and rage when the fight starts there is no way I would be able to keep my composure and stick to a game plan. I’d go out swinging and do everything I can to put him away. You can’t do that against Colby, his tank will always be better. This will be a fight completely controlled by Colby in the late rounds and it will get boring. I am pretty confident we see a new champ in this one.

Colby Covington by Decision +135 1 unit

Alexandre Pantoja vs. Brandon Royval Flyweight Championship Bout

Rewatched their first fight a few times before picking this one. There was maybe 2 minutes total that Royval seemed like he could win but each time was not that convincing. I am sure if this makes it into deep waters it could skew towards Royval, but I see him making a mistake again that leads to Pantoja finding a submission win. These dudes are awesome and I imagine this becomes a fight of the night contender. Every single scramble could change the entire outcome of the whole fight so don’t put too much into this one, just enjoy the show.

Alexandre Pantoja by 3rd Round Submission -190 1 unit

Shavkat Rakhmonov vs. Stephen Thompson Welterweight Bout

Why’d they gotta do my dude Wonderboy like this? My man has only done right by the promotion, didn’t fight one time because a dude missed weight and would have had a decent advantage over him during his last title push. He comes into this fight against a horse eating killer that lives and breathes violence. I really wanted to just take Wonderboy +1000000 but I could not envision a way he comes out on top here. I am hoping he can stay alive long enough to make it entertaining and go out on his sword, but I see a lot of this fight taking place from his back. Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.

Shavkat by 3rd Round Submission (SGP o 1.5 Rds) -135 1 unit

Tony Ferguson vs. Paddy Pimblett Lightweight Bout

Fuck Paddy, I still can’t believe I didn’t cash that bet on Gordon in his last fight. I am staying strong and going against all the limey brits on this card. Tony is so back. What was Tony’s biggest issue before this fight? Grappling? Weak chin? Poor fight IQ? Wrong. It was his incredible cardio that he has always had that he has now made better by doing hell week with Goggins. Sure Tony most likely will lose this fight. Ask me if I care. Did you? I do not care, +270 Tony is too fun to miss.

Tony Ferguson by 2nd Round TKO +270 1 unit

Josh Emmett vs. Bryce Mitchell Featherweight Bout

This is an interesting one, Bryce took this late notice against a dude who is sometimes really good. Fortunately, he is not gonna be good tonight. We have a wrestle fucking in store for the ages in this one. If we are lucky we may even get a chance to see a twister if Emmett gets too tired. I actually like this bet a lot, but just not enough to make it a 2 unit position.

Bryce Mitchell by Decision (SGP o 1.5 Rds) -145 1 unit

Alonzo Menifield vs. Dustin Jacoby Light Heavyweight Bout

Alonzo Menifield by 1st Round Submission +230 1 unit

Casey O’Neill vs. Ariane Lipski Flyweight Bout

Casey O’Neill by Decision (SGP o 1.5 Rds) -115 2 units
