The fight that nobody really wanted is here! How else can you make watching a 44 year old Anderson Silva any worse??? By making almost every line crazy big so you can’t take any favorites and all the underdogs are crazy long shots. If Bryce Mitchell wasn’t on this card I likely wouldn’t have even taken the time to make any picks. I am not going to spend  too much time writing this and I am not making a DraftKings lineup for this one. There is no shame in taking a week or 2 off from a card to build some better fight nights. Kevin Holland is a cool dude I guess, and Greg Hardy is a name, but man is this rough. Throwing some guys some cans so they can get promoted in between PPVs is not a way to get viewership up.

Let’s get into these picks:

Main Card

Uriah Hall vs Anderson Silva Middleweight Bout

This one sucked to do. Like of course I want to take Anderson Silva to win this, especially as a 2-1 dog. Just in what world does he really win at this point? He would have to essentially go for a win on points which would be just as shitty to watch as him getting knocked out. Personally, I am a decently sized Uriah Hall fan, so I would like him to get a chance at one more run to the top. I think Uriah finishes this one, hopefully it’s nothing too brutal because I would like to see Anderson Silva have a retirement speech.

Uriah Hall by 2nd Round TKO -250 2 units

Bryce Mitchell vs Andre Fili Featherweight

Bryce Mitchell is the fucking man. Got his scrotum torn in half, recovered, and has come back as a legitimate threat in this division. He has some of the best jiu jitsu in the weight class and is able to take things to the ground quick. Interested to see how he holds up on the feet, which I think Fili will be able to provide in this one. Fili has pretty good grappling and good length for this weight class. The reason he doesn’t win this is because he can never close out a fight. This fight will start close then Bryce will take over.

Bryce Mitchell by 3rd Round Submission -137 1 unit

Kevin Holland vs Charlie Ontiveros Middleweight Bout

This is Kevin Holland’s closest bout since the pandemic started. Well not really. Charlie Ontiveros is a tall, strong opponent with great standup and solid grappling. This is his UFC debut so it is hard to really tell how his competition has been. But you are getting way too good of value with Kevin Holland at -150. I said 2 units, but there is a chance this becomes a 3 unit bet.

Kevin Holland by 2nd Round TKO -150 2 units

*This changed to -757 my book messed up and I missed something. Just fade this bet

Maurice Greene vs Greg Hardy Heavyweight Bout

Maurice Greene is shit. Greg Hardy is a shit person, this is my first time ever taking him to win. Don’t have much to say, pretty obvious pick.

Greg Hardy by 1st Round TKO -335 (Not betting on it, take the Under)

Bobby Green vs Thiago Moisés Lightweight Bout

Bobby Green has a chance to be the fighter of the year if he wins this one. It would be 4 wins since June. He has looked like a completely new guy with no fans, picking his opponents apart and fighting smart. This is his biggest test in this stretch and he will flounder. Thiago Moises has lost to some really good competition, which has made this line crazy. Thiago is young and only getting better, Bobby will be overly confident going into this and will get outmatched. This is the only real dog I like all night. This will be one of those fights that I hope will bring me out of a pretty bad hole.

Thiago Moises by Decision +245 1 unit

Prelims

Chris Gruetzemacher vs Alexander Hernandez Lightweight Bout

Alexander Hernandez by 2nd Round TKO -445 (Take the under maybe? Not actually betting on him)

Adrian Yanez vs Victor Rodriguez Bantamweight Bout

Adrian Yanez by 1st Round TKO -497 (Take the under, not this fight)

Sean Strickland vs Jack Marshman Middleweight Bout

Sean Strickland by Decision -412 (Take the over)

Cole Williams vs Jason Witt Welterweight Bout

Cole Williams by Decision +132 1 unit

Dustin Jacoby vs Justin Ledet Light Heavyweight Bout

Justin Ledet by Decision +290 .5 unit

Miles Johns vs Kevin Natividad Bantamweight Bout

Miles Johns by Decision -155 2 units

That is all I have for you this evening. This card ain’t great, follow our twitter for some over/unders I like. Sorry for picking so many favorites, I just do not have faith in many of these dogs. Looking to make some change somewhere, likely mostly on the main card. As always, may luck be your lady tonight!
