Conor McGregor fight night! Gotta love dropping $70 for a PPV that doesn’t even have a title shot but I digress. There should be a lot of fun fights though with some really close lines we can take advantage of. Dustin Poirier is going to set up his title shot, Stephen Thompson is going to set up his title shot, Tai Tuivasa is going to disappoint the world, Irene Aldana is going to set up her title shot, Sean O’Malley is gonna scrap the bottom of the barrel. That’s a lot of implications for one card without a belt being on the line. Let’s get into these picks already and score some cash.

Main Card

Dustin Poirier vs. Conor McGregor Lightweight Bout

Fuck Conor McGregor. The man has done a ton for the sport in terms of visibility and PPV buys but he is a loser. He has had one win since 2016 and is terrified to grapple. During all of these press conferences he is just trying to goat Dustin into a boxing match but Dustin ain’t stupid. Conor is going to try to end this early, and when he can’t Dustin is going to piece him up and threaten the takedown and just ruin this man yet again. This feels like free money if it makes it out of the first 2 rounds.

Dustin Poirier by 3rd Round TKO -135 2 units

Gilbert Burns vs. Stephen Thompson Welterweight Bout

I love Gilbert Burns. He is a fun guy who is everything you want in a fighter. He climbed to the top of 170 faster than anyone I have ever seen and will hopefully be a part of the top of the welterweight class for a long time. Unfortunately for him, Stephen Thompson is on another level. Pettis got super lucky with his superman punch, but without elite takedowns I don’t see anyone being able to take him out. This is Thompson’s last chance to make a title run and I don’t see him fumbling the bag.

Stephen Thompson by Decision -150 1 unit

Tai Tuivasa vs. Greg Hardy Heavyweight Bout

I fucking hate Greg Hardy. That being said, I think he is better than Tai Tuivasa. Did I miss something where Tai Tuivasa actually looked good, ever? The man has disappointed time and time again. Greg Hardy is by no means great, but he would probably be the favorite if he wasn’t a piece of absolute garbage. Hardy will win this fight unfortunately.

Greg Hardy by 2nd Round TKO +105

Irene Aldana vs. Yana Kunitskaya Bantamweight Bout

This is probably the most even fight on the card. Yana has looked great at bantamweight in the UFC and pre UFC. Was pretty fucked up that Dana had her fighting at 145 to keep the division alive. Irene Aldana looked poised to be the next title contender until Holly put on a clinic. I see Irene learning a lot from that fight and picking Yana apart for 15 minutes until her hand is raised. Definitely the most uneasy I am on any of these picks at least there is nearly no juice.

Irene Aldana by Decision -105 1 unit

Sean O’Malley vs. Kris Moutinho Bantamweight Bout

This fight is a mockery. I have no idea what to bet since all of the lines are outrageous. I am just going to take the Over 1.5 +160 hoping that Sean will be playing with his food for a little while. Suga doesn’t always go for the kill, hoping that stays the case.

Sean O’Malley by 2nd Round TKO/ Taking the over 1.5 +160 1 unit

Max Griffin by Decision -180 3 units

Niko Price by 1st Round TKO +155 1 unit

Ryan Hall vs. Ilia Topuria Featherweight Bout

Ryan Hall by 2nd Round Submission +185 1 unit

DraftKings Lineup:

I am super excited for this card, there should be a lot of finishes and a lot of close ones. I have been on an absolute tear for like 3 months now and I do not see it stopping anytime soon. This is the fewest method of victory bets I’ve had in a long time so it should be less of a sweat. That is all I have for you folks, as always may luck be your lady tonight!
