We have violence! This is a pretty average card with no real implications since Beneil dropped out. People are drastically overestimating Bobby Green being able to do anything against Islam. Misha Cirkunov v Wellington Turman is a fun matchup, Arman Tsarukyan v Joel Alvarez is fucking awesome, Terrance McKinney is making his return, otherwise this is a lackluster card. I watched more film today than in recent weeks because I am tired of getting destroyed out here. Found some underdogs I like a good amount and am decently confident in all my outright favorites. Method of victory picks have me very nervous so don’t go crazy on them. Let’s just get into these picks.

Main Card

Islam Makhachev vs. Bobby Green Catchweight (160 lb) Bout

This is cool because Bobby Green made it cool. Otherwise this is going to be an absolute whipping. Bobby Green isn’t in the same realm as Islam. Bobby beat Nasrat who was already proven to not be a top guy in the division after he lost to Hooker. Hooker was absolutely demolished by Islam. Bobby has alleged wrestling ability that people think will prove anything but I promise it will be nothing. Islam by destruction.

Islam Makhachev by 3rd Round Submission (Prop Line) -115 1 unit

Misha Cirkunov vs. Wellington Turman Middleweight Bout

This is a perfect matchup of styles. Misha and Wellington are both super strong dudes that like to grapple. Both these guys also have KO power if it happens to go that way. After watching both do what they do, I don’t see where Turman is better at anything. Misha is the same fighter but better in nearly every category. Both Guys have trouble if they can’t get it to the ground, but MIsha is a better striker so he gets the advantage.

Misha Cirkunov by Decision -130 2 units

Ji Yeon Kim vs. Priscila Cachoeira Flyweight Bout

I don’t think either of these ladies are particularly good. That being said Priscila has faced much better competition and has a few better wins. I see her controlling the exchanges and not really letting Kim do anything to stay in the fight. Lets ride with the dog and pray for some money.

Priscila Cachoeira by Decision +135 1 unit

Arman Tsarukyan vs. Joel Álvarez Lightweight Bout

This is the best fight on the card. These guys have both shown to be promising young talent for the lightweight division. Arman has been on a hell of a streak since dropping one to the main event fighter, having a healthy mix of finishes and decisions. Joel Alvarez has looked great since losing to another dude with a Russian name, securing some TKOs and Subs with a very good all around game. I decided to rock with Arman here since his wrestling defense is no joke and his striking is a lot better than Alvarez’s. This should be very back and forth but Arman will have more control and the more meaningful striking. That being said this will make it all the way to the judges.

Arman Tsarukyan by Decision (Prop Line) +165 1 unit

Armen Petrosyan vs. Gregory Rodrigues Middleweight Bout

This is a fight I would have fucked up last week. I just looked at their records and strength of competition and ability and Armen as a decent underdog seemed like the right choice. Then I watched their recent bouts and Rodrigues is lightyears better than Armen. Armen was getting worked until he got a lucky headkick in his Contender Series bout. Rodrigues dismantles his opponents on the feet and the ground. Put it all on Rodrigues.

Gregory Rordrigues by 1st Round TKO -145 3 units

Prelims

Zhu Rong vs. Ignacio Bahamondes Lightweight Bout

Zhu Rong by Decision +170 1 unit

Josiane Nunes vs. Ramona Pascual Featherweight Bout

Ramona Pascual by 2nd Round TKO +190 1 unit

Terrance McKinney vs. Farès Ziam Lightweight Bout

Terrance McKinney by 1st Round TKO -105 2 units

Alejandro Pérez vs. Jonathan Martinez Featherweight Bout

Jonathan Martinez by 2nd Round TKO (Prop Finish Line) +180 1 unit

Ramiz Brahimaj vs. Micheal Gillmore Welterweight Bout

Ramiz Brahimaj by 1st Round Submission -120 1 unit

Victor Altamirano vs. Carlos Hernández Flyweight Bout

Carlos Hernandez by Decision -150 1 unit

DraftKings Lineup:

That is all I have for you this evening. This isn’t anything special of a card, but it will be fast and fun. Only 11 fights so only 11 opportunities to get rich. Be smart with your units and make sure not to put too much stake in the method of victory bets. Really like my favorites tonight, those units might get a little heavier based on how drunk I am. Bet responsibly and as always may luck be your lady tonight!
